As of right now, the Marvel production company has decided their delayed slate of films as well as shows for the upcoming months, and we could not be any happier. Everyone knows how patiently we have all been waiting for the release of Black Widow. The first time its teaser came out in 2019 had us all on the edge of anticipation to see what the movie was going to look like. But unfortunately, that did not happen, but now, Marvel has confirmed the release date of Black Widow to be in July of 2021.
Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Release Date Delayed
This has led to another fact that the Marvel TV show airing on Disney Plus called Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has to be moved further now. It is because Shang Chi was lined up for a release in July of 2021, but now that Black Widow has been relocated to that duration, the show has to move. Thus, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is going to release on the 3rd of September 2021. On the other hand, the Black Widow release date is scheduled for the 9th of July 2021. It has been a year since we had the hype around the release of Black Widow, as earlier it was slated for a launch date on the 7th of May 2020. All this while, Kareem Daniel is the Chairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, and he has made a statement regarding this shift in the release date of various entities set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He said that the collective decision that Marvel has made to delay the dates reflects their focus on providing the consumer choice. He also mentioned how the company wants to serve the evolving preference of the audience. Kareem has said that by deciding on a suitable strategy to distribute their projects among the fans who are living in a situation where the world is just starting to recover from a pandemic and the marketplace is also just starting to grow. According to him, the company is focused on employing the best options that are available to deliver the stories from The Walt Disney Company to fans as well as the families living all around the world.
Other Films That Are Now Shifted Back By Disney
Also, you guys should know that these are not the only two entities that Disney and Marvel have decided to shift down their schedule list. It has been officially announced by the creators that Cruella, one of the highly anticipated titles of Disney Plus, is going to debut on the platform from the 28th of May 2021. On the other hand, Luca is going to entirely skip the release in theatres and will directly hit the streaming platform provided by Disney Plus for no extra charges taken from the Premium subscribers. Now, you all must be wondering about the forthcoming films such as Free Guy as well as The King’s Man and Death on the Nile, which were supposed to release later this year. Well, the creators have shocked us once again by pushing these titles back in order to make space for the release of the delayed titles in the new release calendar of Disney. The good thing about the release of these titles is the fact that there is no sort of controversy involved. We have seen how much the decision of Warner Brothers to release titles directly onto HBO Max as well as the cinemas was resented by the big officials and directors.
