Is NCIS Season 19 Happening?
CBS has not officially released any statement on NCIS Season 19 happening. But, there are a few hints which say it may, but it will be the last time. NCIS Season 18 is on the verge of wrapping up soon. Amidst this, reports came telling Mark Harmon’s contract with the series is expiring. This has led him to leave the show. But after acknowledging the fact the show may get canceled with his absence, Harmon promised to guest star for the 19th season. So, Harmon leaving is a sign NCIS has not much time. So even if CBS confirms the nineteenth season, there are a few signs it may go. But also note, there are cases from previous experiences where the show started falling. Especially when a major member left or reduced his time on the show. Of course, the crime procedural, which usually has a different plot every episode continues without the main character. But, still, NCIS is doing its job for 18 years now, its high time they switch the off button with the upcoming nineteenth season if it’s really happening,
NCIS Season 19 Release Date
Of course, we can’t help but mention the pandemic. It has certainly affected everyone’s schedule, including NCIS. Originally for years, NCIS comes around in September, but the most recent season came around in November of 2020. Plus, also note the creators and crew are taking more care and precautions as they keep the cameras rolling. So with that in mind, NCIS Season 19 may follow the procedures of the eighteenth season. Plot For NCIS Season 19
Well, NCS is a crime procedural, after all. So, there is no exact plot unless the series goes with some specific character arcs. These arcs follow the characters throughout the season or sometimes the series. But, basically, it’s like a new case in every episode which the team of NCIS has to solve. Talking about the plot of NCIS Season 19, the same will be followed unless it comes to Mark Harmon’s departure. With the leader gone, there are a number of things the show could do. A new leader, probably a team without a leader, and much more. Probably end up giving something new to the show. But as speculated, if NCIS Season 19 is the final one in the books, we can expect a few characters run-around. Probably stories build around the teams who will wrap up their work at NCIS before bidding adieu.
The Returning And New Cast For NCIS Season 19

Let’s start with the lead, as said Mark Harmon, who is playing the lead Leroy Jethro Gibbs for all 18 seasons, is depatterning now. He will be more scene in a guest role as mentioned above for NCIS Season 19. Apart from him, the eighteenth season saw Hawaii Five-O star Katrina Law joining the show as a guest star. Plus, she has an option to return as a regular for NCIS Season 19. Guest or Regular, let’s count her in. Apart from them, we are hoping the main cast from the previous season may return for NCIS’s nineteenth season. These may include Sean Murray as Timothy McGee, Wilmer Valderrama as Nicholas “Nick” Torres, Emily Wickersham as Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop, and Maria Bello as Dr. Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane.
