Monthly House: Release Date
Monthly House is an upcoming romantic Korean drama from South Korea. The other name for the series is Wolgan and Wolgan Jib. Interestingly, audiences do not have to wait for a long time for its release as we already have an official release date. Monthly House will release on March 22, 2021, and run until May 11, 2021. The series will consist of sixteen episodes and will air every Monday and Tuesday of the week. JTBC’s original network will feature the series.

Monthly House drama will address and depicts the actual meaning of having a home in the life of a person. Lee Chang Min is the director of the series. So, there will surely be some emotional moments along with zesty comedy and humor. Welcome to Waikki and Man to Man is his most loved comedy-dramas. Myung Soo Hyun is penning down the script, which usually focuses on single people’s lives and gives insightful concepts. Selection for the cast took place from last with sending of an offer to Jung Gun Joo, Kim Ji Suk, and Jung So Min in the leading role. JTBC’s representative confirmed on June 2, 2020, that they had sent offers to the mentioned casts for starring in the drama series. But, till then, the cast did not give a response to the offer yet. They had also not decided about the schedule for broadcasting at that time. However, the confirmation for the cast came in October.
Cast and Plotline
The leading cast for the Monthly House includes Jung Gun Joo, Kim Ji Suk, and Jung So Min in the leading role of Shin Gyeom, Na Young-Won, and YooJa-Sung. Other supporting cast consists of Kim Won-Hae, Lee Ji-Won, Chae Jung-An, Lee Hwa-Kyum, Ahn Chang-Hwan, and Yun Ji-On. They will depict the role of Choi Go, KyeJoo-Hee, Yeo Ui-Joo, Yook Mi-Ra, Nam Sang-Soon, and Jang Chan, respectively. It is the second collaboration of Kim Ji Suk and Jung So Min as they had already worked together in 2013’s Came to Me and Became a Star.
Monthly House will portray the relationship between a real estate investor and a woman who loved living in a rented house. Moreover, it will also address the issue of housing and its value in the life of everyone. The leading role, YooJa Sung, is a self-made businessman who achieved success even after going from quite low. He is also the CEO of the magazine company ‘Monthly House’ and is a real estate investor. However, his success was not quite easy as he was very poor and had to start from nothing. He studied during the day, worked even at the weekends in the sites of construction, worked as a part-timer in a restaurant in the day, and in the night as a designated driver. Na Young-Won works as an editor in the magazine company Monthly House. She does not have and wants to own a house even after working for ten years. She resides in a rental house for which the payment is monthly. However, the rental home is like her own place and takes care of it as her own place as it reflects her emotions and personality. However, the real owner of the place is YooJa Sang that began appearing in the rental house. Things change between them with their clashing, and she found him to be horrible.
