While being on the job, Sam is put in a high-risk situation where she ends up going against her firm. She chooses to save the life of an innocent 8-year old girl, Emily. By saving her, Sam had managed to meddle with a group of very dangerous people. So, from then on, the Firm had refused to protect Sam from any impending danger, leaving her alone to defend herself. So as she has a target behind her back, she must try and save herself and Emily. But for this, she needs assistance. Soon enough, Sam reunites with her mom, Scarlet as they join up with three lethal associates known as The Librarians. Now, the three generations of women must come together as they fight off the army of henchmen all while keeping ng the Firm at bay. Certainly, a film that promises a riot of John Wick sort of action.
Gunpowder Milkshake Release Date
Gunpowder Milkshake is set to be released on 14th July 2021, on Netflix. This highly anticipated R-rated movie will be part of the Netflix 2021 Summer lineup. The film was produced under Studiocanal and The Picture Company. But as it is under Netflix’s initiative to fill up their library, they have worked out a deal with Studiocanal to stream the movie on their streaming service. Gunpowder Milkshake should be available to stream in the US from 12:01 am PST on 14th July 2021. The same will be available for international audiences to watch on 21st July 2021. Who will be in the Cast?
The cast of Gunpowder Milkshake will be led by the former “Doctor Who” star Karen Gillan. Right now, she is more prominently known for her appearances as Nebula in the MCU. Karen Gillan will be playing the role of an assassin and Scarlet’s daughter, Sam. She will be joined by another A-lister star, Lena Headey. She is most popularly known for her Game of Thrones character, Cersei Lannister. Lena Headey will be playing the role of leader of the sisterhood and Sam’s mother, Scarlet. A young Sam will be played by Freya Allan. She is best known for her role as Princess Cirilla of Cintra in Netflix’s The Witcher. And the role of 8-year old Emily is to be played by the former Big Little Lies star Chloe Coleman. Joining them as a part of the secondary cast is the Golden Globe recipient, Angela Bassett. Previously she has played roles in movies such as Notorious, and Contact. More recently, the actress has appeared as Queen Ramonda in the MCU. In Gunpowder Milkshake, Angela Bassett will play an assassin and a member of the sisterhood, Anna May. Another member of the sisterhood, Florence will be played by Michelle Yeoh. She has previously played roles in Crazy Rich Asians and The Lady. She is also about to appear as Jiang Nan in MCU’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The former Spy Kids star, Carla Gugino, will be playing the thor member of the sisterhood, Mathilde. Lastly, we have Paul Giamatti play the role of Nathan, the head of the Firm, while Ralph Ineson will be playing Jim McAlester.
