Season 4 looks promising in every aspect. As per reports, this is going to be the last season of the show. This was predictable after the scandal of allegations against Warren Ellis. However, it seems like fans can still look forward to something else. There has been an announcement that a new series is under consideration that will be set in the same universe as Castlevania. We have no detail regarding how closely the new series will be related to Castlevania at the moment. Yet, it does set in some bits of excitement. The season finale seems like it is going all out. The new trailer is setting up the already heightened hype to higher bars. At the very first glance, the trailer impresses its fans because of its outstanding animation. This new season will be including new characters. Some of these have been involved in the source game. Again, some characters look quite original. Castlevania Season 4 Trailer Breakdown
The trailer of Castlevania had the essence of suspense, all the while giving out a lot of information. This breakdown of the trailer of Season 4 is done scene after scene and also contains some minute predictions of the season.
Back To The Beginning
It begins with a cut scene of Sypha and Trevor. Sypha says, “This is where it all started”. After their adventure with Priory, it seems like they are back in Wallachia. The scene is followed by another where we see flames from season 1 when Lisa was burnt. This has quite a fantastic ring to the finale. The heroes come back to the beginning for an end feels like an epic way to end things. Trevor says, “everything has led us here” to which Sypha replies that they are here for a reason. The trailer shows Sypha producing huge flames from her magic, indicating more battle scenes (which is no surprise). Allies
Trevor is seen standing against enemies in a scene. These enemies have been newly introduced into this season from the game. The creatures are called “skeleton knights”. Shots change from Trevor to Alucard next. A (human) woman asks for his help after some creatures killed many people. More scenes show us that he is killing these creatures after saying that he can do something for them. After season 3, fans were skeptical about Alucard. There was a high expectancy that Alucard might get driven towards the path of his father. However, it seems like he is still siding with the humans. Additionally, Alucard is seen in possession of the Alucard Shield. It is definitely interesting to wonder how he got it. There will be more action scenes, especially after Isaac’s plan is in action. Alucard and Trevor could team up yet again to defeat him. I say so because Isaac looks more powerful than before.
The Enemies
After Alucard’s scene, the shot changes to the Council Of Sisters. Carmilla announces that Hector is ready to make night creatures. She tells Lenore that they can take over the world. Their plan from season 3 seems to have run quite smoothly. Hector is seen creating night creatures after being enslaved. Sypha and Trevor take over the screen again as they defeat another vampire who was performing a spell. The identity of the vampire is difficult to predict as he looks like a new character in the series. After analyzing the spell, Sypha confirms that the vampire was attempting to resurrect Vlad Dracula Țepeș. This opens the probability of Dracula’s comeback into the series again. The trailer shows Sypha and Trevor standing in front of a big statue that looks like a statue of Death. In the game, Death was the second-in-command of Dracula. Since Dracula’s resurrection was interrupted, Death could be the season finale’s last boss. The trailer comes across another new character, presumably a vampire, in the next scene. Isaac
The trailer runs along with Trevor’s voice in the back, saying how they have to stop Dracula from getting resurrected again. The scenes rush through some clips during this voice-over and finally rests at Isaac. Once again, one cannot help but appreciate the making of this trailer. Isaac makes an appearance along with his army of demons. He announces that they started with a simple plan, but now it has changed. He declares his new plan as conquest and orders his army to kill everyone.
Bloodbath
The Castlevania trailer hereby turns into a major bloodbath. We get to see random scenes that have a lot of important details for the upcoming season. A creature was seen cutting through different people. The shot immediately changes to Carmilla, who is seen skating through blood. In the next scene, we see Sypha fighting against someone using her flames. The next shot we see is pretty exciting. Another character from the game makes their entrance into season 4. This character is Abel, a trustworthy pet of Isaac. Abel is seeing assisting Isaac in war as he does in the games. Isaac fights a night creature that probably has been created by Hector for the Council Of Sisters. If the night creatures are coming to a clash, we might get to see a fight between Able and Hector’s The End devil. After all, towards the end of Season 3, we did see Isaac head off to take revenge upon Hector. There are more fight scenes of Alucard, Trevor, and Sypha as the trailer closes. Sypha asks Trevor if he is ready to which he replies, “Hell no.”
Trailer Ending
Following this, the trailer closes only to reopen for one last scene. Clearly, it shows someone/something is getting resurrected. Trevor stands in front of a large shadow of whoever has been resurrected. The resurrected being says, “You know me. I’m going to eat your soul”. With this, the trailer ends. The ending was completely breathtaking. The entire suspense behind who the resurrected figure can make one’s knees shake. It could be Dracula, but I want to believe it’s not. Since the series is already going all out, I think they are bringing back Death this time. Whoever it is, the only way to find out is by streaming it on Netflix on May 13, 2021. Castlevania Season 4 Trailer Reaction
Without a doubt, the trailer left fans in awe. The trailer of Castlevania Season 4 single-handedly imprints the mind of its viewer through its outstanding animation. It was sharp and satisfying to watch. The lighting of the trailer was in complete sync with the kind of story that Castlevania is trying to tell. Two things struck me as best in the trailer. Of course, there were a lot of new introductions that made this breakdown of the Castlevania Season 4 trailer a bliss. But I found these two specific aspects mind-blowing. The first was Sypha’s involvement. Sypha has been a strong protagonist from the start. But, this season, she seems to be taking a huge part of the spotlight. I loved how her strengths look even better under a revamped animation. The second baffling part of this trailer was its end. This touch of suspense has me waiting on my toes for the new season.
